hdavis@wdbj7.com The shootings at Tech have
changed how colleges reach out to
troubled students.

Administrators are pushing
students harder to get help, they're
looking more aggressively for signs of
trouble, and urging faculty to speak up
when they have concerns.

Counselors say the changes are
sending even more students their way.

That's both a welcome and a
challenge -- given many counselors
still lack the resources to handle

Center. Energy meandering through the
region will keep clouds in play tonight
with chilly temperatures. Lows are
forecast in the 30s with a light
northwest breeze. A light rain or snow
shower can't be ruled out, but for most
hometowns this won't be likely.

A few instability rain or snow showers
are possible Monday, thanks to a little
daytime heating and a cool pool of air
aloft. Expect mostly cloudy skies
Monday, with the best chance of any
precipitation in the western Highlands,
Greenbrier Valley, and far southwestern
Virginia - near the Interstate 81/77
interchange and points southwest. Highs
Monday will be in the 40s and some
lower 50s.

Clearing skies Monday night. Cold
temperatures in the low and mid 30s.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Frost and freeze
advisories may be issued Monday night
and Tuesday night with lows in the 30s.
The spring growing season will be
underway in the eastern viewing area
Tuesday. Be prepared to protect your

Tuesday through Friday call for mostly
sunny skies as high pressure builds

moderating from the mid 50s Tuesday, to
the mid 70s Thursday and Friday. Next
weekend looks partly sunny. There's a
slight chance that an approaching front

Sunday.

gkittelson@wdbj7.com The Final Round of the Masters
was played under windy conditions down
in Augusta, Georgia. That led to high
scores over the final 18 holes. Only 4
players shot under par Sunday at
Augusta National.

One of those players was not
Tiger Woods who was looking for a 5th
Green Jacket.

He shot even par on the day, his
round included a birdie on 11, Tiger

finished in 2nd place all by himself
and he still hasn't won a major when
trailing heading into the final round.

Brandt Snedeker was in second
coming into the day, but he would see
his masters dream end on 13 when he hit
into the water on the Part 5 with his
second shot.

Trevor Immelman was the leader
going into the final round and at one
point he had a 6 shot lead. That
pretty much ended any of the drama on
the back 9. Immelman wins his First
Major by 3 shots at 8 under par.
