First, it was a strike, now
more layoffs.

union workers walked off the job and
onto the picket lines.

It took a month and a half before
the two sides negotiated a new contract

warmer.

Researchers say last month was
the warmest March on record over land
and the second warmest overall
worldwide.

However, here in the United
States it was just an average March.

Global ocean temperatures were
the 13th warmest on record.

The agency says overall land and
sea surface temperatures were second
highest in 129 years of record keeping.

Hillcats vs. Avalanche The Avs public address announcer :00 - welcomed the team and fans back to
the park tonight.

The Avs got a good omen early in
the first inning as Lynchburg
threatened with Jim Negrych ripping one
to left center field. The blast will
take Cesar Quintero to the warning
track, but he will make the running
catch.

Lynchburg would not be able to
score the rest of the night as Salem
broke it open in the third. Mark Ori
singles on a sharp ground ball to
center and Wladimir Sutil will score as
the Avs take a one to nothing lead.

Later in the same frame -
Quintero grounds into a force out to
third, but Ori scores to make it a two *CG final Lynchburg nothing game. The Avs win game one of 0 four game series. Game two is tomorrow Salem night at 7 - and it's Mayberry night.

Look at this video, you can see the
guy, slithers into the whole he's
smashed into the glass door of a
convenience store.

He steals beer and chewing
tobacco.

But instead of actually trying to
run or hide....he just goes across the
street, sitting there, drinking the
beer he had just stolen.

So police really didn't have to

look too far to find their guy.
