for Barack Obama this weekend in
Pennsylvania before Tuesday's big
primary there.
Tim Kaine was one the first
governors to endorse Obama.
There's speculation he could be
Obama's running
mate if he wins the Democratic
nomination.
Governor Kaine has repeatedly
said though - he intends to serve out
his term, which ends in January 2010,
but he has not flatly ruled out a spot
on the ticket.

now that a Navy Admiral has saluted his
duties good-bye in Norfolk.

when four-star Admiral William Fallon
also known as Fox called it quits.
His resignation was a surprise to
the Washington community.
But some say there were hints of
Fallon's troubles with the White House
after an Esquire magazine article said
the leader was at odds with President
Bush's plans to militarily engage Iran.
The two may have also had
differences about the Iraq war.

Today marks the 13th year since
the Oklahoma City bombings.
A memorial service was held at
the National memorial -- 168 seconds of
silence -- one for each of the victims.
The nine story Federal building
in downtown Oklahoma City was destroyed
when a cargo truck packed with
48-hundred pounds of explosives
detonated near the entrance.
Before the ceremony, family
members of the victims placed wreaths
and mementos on the permanent chairs,
each one representing a victim of the
bombing.

Crews hope to extinguish the
flames of this wildfire before it
spreads to houses and businesses.
They're using local roads as a
boundary and fighting to keep the
flames from crossing over into rural

Florida girls beating up another teen
may have done more than start a
national firestorm --

Now, six Kentucky girls are
charged with doing the exact same
thing.
Police say the girls called the
victim to a parking lot in
Jeffersonville, beat her up, and posted
the video online.
One of the suspects hit the girl
on the head with a rock.
Police are calling this a copy
cat of the video taped beating in
Florida.

Indiana say another beating -- this one
by middle school girls -- also appears
to be a copycat.
No charges have been filed in
that case.

Center. An area of low pressure
tracking toward the NEWS7 viewing area
will keep clouds and occasional showers
in play tonight through Sunday. Lows
are forecast in the 50s. Cooler on
Sunday with highs in the 60s.
Sunday may offer a few thunderstorms,
especially in the afternoon. If some of
us break out with a little sunshine,
we'll certainly have to monitor for
storms - especially in the Piedmont.
We're keeping in a 40% shower chance
Monday as the current system slowly
pulls off the Carolina coast. Highs are
forecast near 70. A few instability
showers could occur Tuesday and
Wednesday (20%), but mainly those two
days look more cloudy than anything.
Highs will be around 70.
A ridge of high pressure should build
into the area for the late week with
increasing sunshine. We'll likely warm
into the mid 70s Thursday and Friday.
Looking way down the road, next weekend
is looking dry with highs in the 70s.

Stadium, our own Natasha Ryan threw out
the first pitch before the Avs game
against Lynchburg. Natasha's pitch
bounced in the dirt in front of the
plate. Salem's own Pitchers didn't do
much better as they got beat 11 to 2.
Avs looking to bounce back as
they took on the Hillcats again.

The Hillcats would get all the
Runs they would need in the Top of the
3rd. With the bases loaded Steve Lerud
will hit one through the hole in the
left side of the infield. The ball got
