Winning in Pennsylvania may not be
enough for Hillary Clinton.
(SOT HILLARY CLINTON 231158): "WE HAVE
HAD THE LONGEST JOB INTERVIEW THAT
ANYONE CAN IMAGINE..."
To really take a bite out of Barack
Obama's lead, she needs something
approaching a landslide victory. That
means stealing his support and
attracting new voters.
The good news....Turnout is expected to
shatter records. The bad news....HE'S
done better in winning those new
voters, especially among the young.
Obama just needs to avoid a blow-out.
His Pennsylvania game-plan.....limit
the damage.
(SOT BARACK OBAMA over still with text
and courtesy KDKA pre-fonted 010130):
"I'M NOT PREDICTING A WIN. I'M
PREDICTING IT'S GOING TO BE CLOSE AND
THAT WE
ARE GONNA DO A LOT BETTER THAN PEOPLE
EXPECT."
(Stand-Up/Joel Brown/Philadelphia, Pa).
The reality is NEITHER candidate is
gonna have enough delegates to secure
the
nomination so it's all about attracting
SUPER-delegates....Best way to do that
is to win the popular vote.
(NATSOT CLINTON ad in-box 184333):
"I'TS THE TOUGHEST JOB IN THE WORLD."
Clinton's last-minute blitz included a
new ad stressing only she is truly
ready for the White House.
It's an old theme but punched up with
new imagery.......the Great Depression,
Hurricane Katrina, and Osama Bin Laden.
The Obama camp called it scare
tactics---
(NATSOT AD): "IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE
HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN."
And turned up some heat of their own.
(over pix early SOT BARACK OBAMA
214706): "LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION.
(edit)
WHO DO YOU WANT ANSWERING THAT 3 AM
PHONE CALL? THE PERSON WHO GOT IRAQ
WRONG?
OR THE PERSON WHO GOT IRAQ RIGHT?"
An Obama win today would drive Clinton
out of the race. But the more likely
result - a solid if not overwhelming
win for the former First Lady - just
means the road to the nomination got a
little bit longer.

GRAPHIC=None Parents were pretty concerned
when they learned about a gun found in
a Wythe County school.
We received several e-mails about
it.
Apparently, a student at Rural
Retreat Elementary brought a B-B gun to
school about a week ago.
The principal, Mary Walters, told
News 7 that the child has been
disciplined but is still enrolled at
the school.
Walters said the B-B gun was
empty.
She would not release any more
information.

Winning in Pennsylvania may not be
enough for Hillary Clinton.
(SOT HILLARY CLINTON 231158): "WE HAVE
HAD THE LONGEST JOB INTERVIEW THAT
ANYONE CAN IMAGINE..."
To really take a bite out of Barack
Obama's lead, she needs something
approaching a landslide victory. That
means stealing his support and
attracting new voters.
The good news....Turnout is expected to
shatter records. The bad news....HE'S
done better in winning those new
voters, especially among the young.
Obama just needs to avoid a blow-out.
His Pennsylvania game-plan.....limit
the damage.
(SOT BARACK OBAMA over still with text
and courtesy KDKA pre-fonted 010130):
"I'M NOT PREDICTING A WIN. I'M
PREDICTING IT'S GOING TO BE CLOSE AND
THAT WE
ARE GONNA DO A LOT BETTER THAN PEOPLE
EXPECT."
(Stand-Up/Joel Brown/Philadelphia, Pa).
The reality is NEITHER candidate is
gonna have enough delegates to secure
the
nomination so it's all about attracting
SUPER-delegates....Best way to do that
is to win the popular vote.
(NATSOT CLINTON ad in-box 184333):
"I'TS THE TOUGHEST JOB IN THE WORLD."
Clinton's last-minute blitz included a
new ad stressing only she is truly
ready for the White House.
It's an old theme but punched up with
new imagery.......the Great Depression,
Hurricane Katrina, and Osama Bin Laden.
The Obama camp called it scare
tactics---
(NATSOT AD): "IF YOU CAN'T STAND THE
HEAT, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN."
And turned up some heat of their own.
(over pix early SOT BARACK OBAMA
214706): "LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION.
(edit)
WHO DO YOU WANT ANSWERING THAT 3 AM
PHONE CALL? THE PERSON WHO GOT IRAQ
WRONG?
OR THE PERSON WHO GOT IRAQ RIGHT?"
An Obama win today would drive Clinton
out of the race. But the more likely
result - a solid if not overwhelming
win for the former First Lady - just
means the road to the nomination got a
little bit longer.
