enough - now BOTH candidates claim
they're winning the popular vote.
(SOT HILLARY CLINTON): "I'M VERY PROUD
THAT AS OF TODAY, I HAVE RECEIVED MORE
VOTES BY THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE VOTED THAN
ANYBODY ELSE."
The popular vote argument is another
way Clinton's trying to gain
superdelegate support, but her
calculations come with a catch.
She's including Michigan and Florida,
states stripped of their delegates for
holding their primaries too early.
Barack Obama BARELY campaigned in
Florida
and wasn't even on the ballot in
Michigan.

Those vote totals will soon look a lot
different with the next round of
primaries on May 6th. (poll gfx) The

A new ad rekindles the Reverend Wright
controversy. The state party insists
it's going after democrats running for
governor but it's hard not to conclude
Obama is the true target.
(SOT AD): "HE'S JUST TOO EXTREME FOR
NORTH CAROLINA."
John McCain has already asked them to
stop the negativity--
(SOT JOHN MCCAIN): "IT'S NOT THE
MESSAGE OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY - IT'S
NOT
THE MESSAGE OF MY CAMPAIGN."
But Obama wants him to do more.
(SOT BARACK OBAMA): "IF JOHN MCCAIN
THINKS IT'S AN INAPPROPRIATE AD, THEN
HE
CAN GET THEM TO PULL IT DOWN, SINCE
HE'S THIER NOMINEE AND

(oncam)
Despite objections, North Carolina
republicans say the ad isn't going

It's only on the internet now - but
