with an arrest in Norfolk.

Police arrested a North Carolina
couple wanted for killing a Meals on
Wheels volunteer. Police
successfully negotiated the couple's
surrender this morning after a
five-hour standoff.
The incident started last night
in Winston-Salem when 77-year old Anne
Magness was killed as she made a lunch
time delivery.
A 64-year old man who was the
delivery recipient was also killed.
As authorities negotiated with
the couple, SWAT officers discovered
the couple had their one-month old baby
in the car.
The baby was not harmed.

Latin American art auction in New York

paintings to increase its endowment.

player of the year says he'll be back
to do something about that next year.

2008 ACC Tourney Tyler Hansbrough announced this
afternoon that he will return to North
Carolina for his senior season. The
6-foot-9 inch forward, averaged 23
points and 10 rebounds a game this past
season leading the Heels to 36 and 3
record.
When he comes back he will
certainly pass Phil Ford to become
UNC's all-time scoring leader and he
will have a shot at passing J.J. Redick
on the ACC all-time list.
His teammates Wayne Elliington
and Ty Lawson did declare for the draft
today - but will not hire agents -
meaning they too could return.

basketball coach Troy Wells is leaving
the Bulldogs to take over as the new
roundball boss at Hidden Valley.
Wells has been a pillar of the
Henry County community for the past 28
years, but his new challenge will bring
him closer to his immediate family.

Two A ranks.
Playing at the state level will

over for the legendary Husky Hall and
defied the odds by winning three state
titles on his own as the Bulldogs' head
coach.

The Maroons would respond in

Friday Football Extra - 1987 If you viewers don't remember :00 Palmer, he was a player of the week
back in September of 1987 - who died of
cancer in 2001 - in his early 30's.
Palmer was only five feet two
inches tall, but he was still an
all-state performer.

and Darris Nichols, Dell Curry,
Carolina Panther Jeff King, Bengal
Shayne Graham, Redskin Pierson Prieloeu
and even our own Grant Kittelson are
playing hoops to help raise money for

to help him get back in the swim of

his waterproof feathers to keep him

There are no plans to make him
a matching surf board.
