effect this morning in the Southeastern
parts of Virginia after two devastating
tornadoes ravaged the Suffolk area... a
third hit Colonial Heights.
More than 200 people were injured.

tornadoes
tore through the middle of town.

The string of storms plowed across the
southeastern corner of the
state...Leaving behind a 25-mile trail
of destruction.

The twisters picked their spots -
obliterating some homes while leaving
their
neighbor's untouched.

spared....her nerves were not.

hit the Target dead on....and the
parking lot looks like a junkyard.

Almost 10-thousand residents are
without power and hundreds have been
forced
to find shelter.
Officials plan a full damage report
today but it will take much longer -
weeks
if not months - to repair what Mother
Nature wrecked in only seconds.

Center. April showers have definitely
been abundant this month. All major
cities are reporting positive rain
totals for the April. An upper level
disturbance will push the cold front
through, then lift to the northeast
this morning. This will usher in cooler
afternoon temperatures along with a
gusty NW winds. A few morning showers
will lead to increasing sunshine as
high pressure moves in from the west.
Northwest winds will gust up to 30mph
at times. Afternoon highs will only
reach the upper 50s. Some snow flurries
are even possible in the higher
elevations. After a chilly start
Wednesday morning, a strong ridge of
high pressure will bring a return of
progressively warmer afternoon weather
from mid-week on. Highs by Friday will
approach 80 with abundant sunshine. A
cold front will bring a chance of
showers back to the area early in the
weekend TUESDAY: Mainly cloudy. High:

Almost 10-thousand residents are
without power and hundreds have been
forced
to find shelter.
Officials plan a full damage report
today but it will take much longer -
weeks
if not months - to repair what Mother
Nature wrecked in only seconds.

a Roanoke County attorney was killed
while jogging.

Farrell on the early morning of January
28th.
It happened on Springlawn Avenue
not far from Cave Spring Middle School.
Neighbors have been complaining
for years about the traffic volume and
the speed of some drivers.

28-year-old Jason Lee Mason and
his wife, 28-year-old Joanie Leigh
Mason, are facing charges of
manufacturing and distributing
marijuana.

Investigators seized 40-thousand
dollars worth of pot from the couple's
Montvale home.
Sheriff Mike Brown says the
couple was producing two to four pounds
of marijuana per-week.
The Masons are also facing child

She's now in the custody of
social services.
