Tom Perriello (Perry- ello) says
if Congress had expanded the S-chip
program 30- thousand more Virginia
children would have health insurance.

That's three times the number of

seats in the Roanoke Civic Center
coliseum.

Perriello faulted his opponent..
Virgil Goode for voting against a bill
to expand S-chip to include millions of
children in middle class homes.

Perriello is running as a Democrat
for the 5th district seat.

GRAPHIC=GUARD TROOP LEVELS Troop levels are at the highest

they've been in 14 years for The
Virginia Army National Guard -- with
more than eight-thousand guardsmen.

Its levels had hit a low in
2005..... just short of 69-hundred
members.

But since then, officials say they
have doubled the number of recruiters,
re-organized operations and developed
new recruiting programs.

<< Good morning, I'm meteorologist Leo
Hirsbrunner in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. After a cold start this
morning, the same high pressure ridge
will move off to the east. This will
deliver more of a southerly, warmer
wind over the next several days. Highs
should climb back into the 60s
Wednesday with lows in the 40s. With
warm air advection at a premium,
afternoon highs will reach the 70s
Thursday and near 80 Friday before a
cold front knocks them back down by the
weekend. Speaking of the weekend, a
few showers (40%) are possible each day
from Saturday and Sunday. It doesn't
look like a washout. WEDNESDAY:
Increasing sunshine. Warmer. High: 63
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Not as
chilly. Low: 44 For weather anytime
