State Police say 18-year-old
Charles Holmes fell asleep at the wheel
on Route 460.
His brother James died after the
car flipped and hit a tree.
Both were wearing seat belts.
Thomas Road Baptist Church held
a special Sunday school service
yesterday.

a car while he was crossing the street.

Police say Lorenzo Coley, who was
44, was killed around 3:30 yesterday
morning.
He was trying to cross Hardy Road
in Roanoke County when authorities say
a driver -- a juvenile- ran into him.
Police have not said who was at
fault.
They do say the victim was
wearing dark clothes and was walking
with his back toward oncoming traffic.
Both the driver and victim are
from Bedford County.

for a man who they say he carjakced and
kidnapped a woman as she was pulling
into her job yesterday.

It happened on Piney Forest Road
when a man came up to her and forced
her into the passengers seat.
Then, authorities say he drove
from Danville to North Carolina and
finally let the woman go about an hour
later on Interstate 85.
The victim was never hurt but
police want to find this man.
