hospital this morning after a crash in
Bedford County.

Officials say the death toll could
reach 10-thousand. Saturday's cyclone
devastated the Southeast Asian country
formerly known as Burma. Thousands are
missing, and hundreds of thousands of
people are now homeless.
Winds of up to 130 miles per hour blew
roofs off hospitals, and cut
electricity in Yangon, Myanmar's
largest city of nearly 7 million
people.
With many roads still impassable...the
situation in the countryside could be
even worse.

confirming 10 twisters hit Arkansas on

Seven people were killed, and about

and kidnapped in Danville.
The victim was pulling into her
job around 6 yesterday morning...

School Board voted to close down Forest
Park Elementary. Starting in the fall--
the campus is set to open its' doors as
an academy for students at risk of not
graduating.

federal accreditation standards.
Closing it down would eliminate the
possibility of penalties-- P-T-A
president Lavita Washington says but
with the right resources-- it wouldn't
even be an issue.

Well, it's never too late to find
your rhythm...that's according to NAMM,
the trade association of international
music products industry.

headed back to the NCAA Tournament,
despite losing to Duke 11 to 9 in the
ACC Championship game last weekend.

Cavaliers found out that they will play
UMBC in the first round at home next
Sunday afternoon at 5.
The Retrievers won't be a

would be Maryland or Denver, if the
Cavaliers advance.

final round suspense that is usually
present on Sunday at the Wachovia
Championship in Charlotte.
Kim started the day with a five shot
lead looking for his first career win,
and made it look easy over the final 18
holes.

Apparently, winning a medal is enough.
A grinning and blushing Prince Harry
received a medal today for his service
in Afghanistan.
His aunt, Princess Anne presented it
to him.
The 23- year-old's deployment to
southern Afghanistan was cut short
earlier this year after news of his
mission became public.
Harry spent about 10 weeks there
calling in airstrikes on Taliban
positions, and going on patrols.
The medal is awarded to anyone who
completes at least four weeks of
service in Afghanistan.
