now in Richmond.

The University of Richmond campus
is on lockdown while police search for
a man who may be armed.

A university spokesperson says no
shots have been fired, but witnesses
reported seeing a man with a handgun on
the Richmond University campus this
afternoon.

They say he is a white man with
blonde hair and was wearing a
dark-colored shirt or jacket with the
word "Sheriff" on the back and maybe a
fake beard. We'll update this story
when we get more information.

This Afternoon With his parents by his side as :00 well as coaches and administrators
surrounding him, Terriers' pitcher
Travis Coffman signed the proper papers
to attend Patrick Henry Community
College in Martinsville.

In the past, such a move would
not have been possible, but the
Community College is now a fully
accredited member of the National
Junior College ranks giving players
like Travis a chance to play
competitively after high school.

Patrick Henry Community College
actually got three Terriers today as
former Byrd stars Lance Kennedy, a
catcher, and pitcher Brandon Chocklett
also signed with the school.

Both Kennedy and Chocklett
graduated from Byrd in 2007.
