suspicious man was seen on campus.

reported seeing a man with a handgun in
Boatwright Memorial Library this
afternoon.
Witnesses say it is a white man
with blonde hair wearing a dark-colored
shirt or jacket with the word "Sheriff"

A university spokewoman said the
man refused to identify himself to
library workers after he was spotted.

made an arrest in a deadly weekend
shooting.

and is charged with Felony Murder and
several firearms violations.
Wright is 21 years old and is
from Amherst.

away...after stealing a nearly 500
pound piano from a local church.

The blimp is filled with helium
that makes it lighter than air, and two
engines help get the huge aircraft off
the ground.
The passenger cabin holds 6
people plus the pilot, but there's only
one wheel to help steady the blimp
during landing.
A crew on the ground grabs long
ropes attached to the blimp to help
bring it down.
Fran Boyd, President of Thompson
Tire has been working on getting the
blimp here since last fall.

meteorologist Robin Reed in the
SkyTracker7 Forecast Center. Warmer
weather continues to prevail as an area
of high pressure moves overhead, and
eventually off to the east over the
next 24hours. Afternoon highs will
climb into the upper 70s through the
remainder of the week. Wednesday brings
another day of partly sunny skies.
Clouds will thicken more Wednesday
night as a low pressure system
approaches from the southwest. Thursday
and Friday offer a decent chance of
showers and thunderstorms as that low
enters the Appalachians. Latest models
indicate the front will stall in the
Carolinas over the weekend, with
several disturbances riding along it.

A small earthquake was recorded
in the Washington D-C area this
afternoon.
It happened around 1:30. The
epicenter was about a mile from
Annandale.

a microearthquake which are rarely felt

report is out and it showed 7-hundred
teams are falling short of the
standards set forth.

2007-08 Season One of those teams is the Liberty
Men's basketball team that will now
lose 2 scholarships due to their low
Academic Progress Rate. The loss of
scholarships is in accordance with
N-C-A-A guidelines.
The low A-P-R is during the years
of 2-thousand and 3 to 2-thousand and
7, where Liberty had a number players
transfer away who were academically
ineligible.
This year's Liberty Men's
Basketball team had it's highest G-P-A
in 5 years during the Fall Semester.

OQ=News 7 Sports." <<48 teams gave the Lowes Motor
(END SOT) Speedway a workout over the past two
days. Not originally on the test
schedule, the session was added by
Nascar in an effort to help the teams
to get a better grip on the circuit's
new car. The winged wonder is most
certainly safer, yet has had plenty of
aerodynamic handling issues this
season, especially on tracks a mile and
a half in length.

JEFF GORDON/13th in Sprint Cup Points:
TRAVIS WELLS: Perhaps no two drivers
have gotten a better handle on the new
car than Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch.
The two have combined to win 5 of the
first 10 races this season. Busch is
the points leader headed to Darlington,
but has ruffled plenty of feathers
along the way, both in the garage and
in the grandstands. And he's
completely comfortable with being the
sport's new bad boy.
