Hillary Clinton is on the prowl for
money and votes. Wednesday she capped
off

her day at a sold out fundraiser in
Washington DCTERMS.

NATS

While addressing the crowd at the
"Generations of Women for Hillary
Event", a

protestor stole the spotlight, but just
for a moment.

(20-24)

"I am happy that people feel so
intensely and I hope they paid to come"

It was a day of defusing for Clinton,
earlier while in West Virginia she did

what she could to drum up support for
her troubled campaign.

(35-39)

Sot: Hillary Clinton / (D) Presidential
Candidate

"I believe I am a stronger candidate
against McCain and would be the best

president"

Despite her bravado - Tuesday's narrow
victory in Indiana and decisive loss in

North Carolina to Barak Obama has put
her on the declarative if not the

defensive.

(35-39)

Sot: Hillary Clinton / (D) Presidential
Candidate

I am staying in the race until there is
a nominee.

(:52-1:05)

Bridge: Alison Harmelin / Washington DC

Before that happens - Clinton will need
to raise a lot more cash for her

strapped campaign. The going rate at
this fundraiser for a ticket and a

picture with the presidential contender
runs 2,300 hundred dollars. Last

month she was forced to chip in 6
million dollars of her own.

(natz Obama)

For his part, Obama took a day off...
after celebrating his 14 point victory

in North Carolina.

(1:12-1:17)

Sot: Barack Obama/(D) Presidential
Candidate

"What North Carolina decided is that
the only game that needs changing is
the

one in Washington, D.C."

But Obama likely won't get the chance
to change anything unless he finds a
way

to attract more white voters. Exit
polls continue to show him dominating
the

African American vote with Clinton
winning overwhelmingly among whites.

With Obama looking like the nominee his
challenge will be to win over her

supporters before the general election.

<< Good evening, I'm meteorologist
Robin Reed in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. Not as cool tonight with
clouds increasing and a southerly
breeze at 10-15mph. Lows are forecast
near 60. A warm front will be north
of the NEWS7 viewing area Thursday;
keeping us in the "warm sector" of air.
South winds are expected around
10-15mph with gusts near 25mph. Highs
are forecast in the mid and upper 70s.
Expect sun and clouds, with shower and
thunderstorm chances developing during
the afternoon. Storm chances are best
across the Piedmont where more sun and
instability are expected. A few
afternoon and early evening storms
could turn strong to severe.
Additionally, heavy rain may develop
late Thursday - although it's possible
the heaviest rain stays just north of
the area. Lows Thursday night are

slated near 60. As the system departs,
showers early Friday will exit, with
clearing in the afternoon. Friday will
probably be breezy. Westerly winds may
gust to 25mph. Highs in the mid 70s.
Mother's Day weekend looks like a split
decision. Saturday appears pretty sunny
right now, with showers and
thunderstorms returning Sunday. Highs
this weekend in the lower 70s.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds.
Low: 62 THURSDAY: Afternoon showers
and storms. High: 77 For weather
