57-year-old Phyllis Pollard was
driving the bus, she was unconscious
when rescue crews arrived.

She was taken to Lynchburg

time later.

32 students were on the bus when
it crashed - they were headed for
Central Middle School.

Seven boys between the ages of 12
and 15 received minor injuries.

They were taken to hospitals in
Farmville and Halifax County as a
precaution, but we're told the most
serious injury was a deep bruise on a
student that was sitting behind the bus
driver.

Getting back to the driver, we're
told that Pollard had a clean driving
record - she'd been driving for
Charlotte County for eight years.

Most storms will move along rather

Ticker and the Virginia Tech Softball
Team saw something nearly unheard of to
start their A-C-C Tournament. Angela

Tincher gave up 3 Runs in the First

But Tincher and the Hokies
settled down as they came back to get a
7 to 4 win over Maryland and advance to
play Florida State tomorrow at 12:30 as
Tech tries to defend their A-C-C
Tourney Title.

The Virginia Cavaliers are on the
field as we speak taking on Top Seed
North Carolina.
