to build the store in Clearbrook.

from Walmart and its developer.
But they told us it's been
difficult, with the project in limbo

Henry County.
How they died troubles sheriff's
investigators.
We warn you the details are
disturbing.
The first case was reported
around 11:00 yesterday morning...

on Fairystone Park Highway in
Bassett.
Someone found Chaston Craig,
head-first in a bucket full of what
investigators say appeared to be human
urine and vomit.
Authorities say the
five-month-old child was sharing a room
with an elderly person, who had
difficultly getting around.
The other death involved a
four-month-old girl in Ridgeway.
Family members told the sheriff's
department they put the

driver was at fault for a school bus
accident in Halifax County

Halifax.
State Police say the bus was
pulling onto Route 610 when it hit a
car.
Two people in the car were
treated for minor injuries.
The bus driver, Yvonne Vaden
(Vay-Den) of Java was charged with

crashed during a high speed chase.

March 13 Spenser Duncan pleaded no contest
to driving on a suspended license and
reckless driving today.
you may remember In March, Duncan
led police on a chase that reached
speeds of more than 120 miles an hour
through Salem, Roanoke County and
Montgomery County before he wrecked his
motorcycle.
The judge sent Duncan to jail for
six months, suspended his license for
30 days and fined him.
His lawyer is appealing.
Duncan waived his right to a
hearing on the felony charge of eluding
police. That'll be heard in circuit
court.
Duncan remains out on bond.

chance to give their opinion tonight on
what should be done with a prime piece
of real estate.
The Old Blacksburg Middle School
has been a center of debate in the town
for years.
Montgomery County owns the
property and wanted to sell it, but
Blacksburg town leaders wanted some say
in what happened with the land.
The two sides have been working
together and have formally agreed to a
nationwide design competition.
Tonight, the town wants ideas
from the public about what to do with
the nearly 20 acre site.

SkyTracker7 Forecast Center. Nothing
more than a sprinkle Wednesday night,
with otherwise mostly cloudy skies.
Temperatures will stay in the mid 50s
thanks to clouds and breezy southwest
winds, at times gusting to 20mph. A
cold front pressing toward the area
will attempt to provide occasional
showers Thursday. Rain chances are
slated at 50%. The heaviest rain will
stay to our south. Locations in Alabama
and Georgia may get 1.00-2.00" of
rain. That area still needs lots of
rain! According to the latest U.S.
Drought Monitor report, our area is
listed in a moderate drought to
abnormally dry situation. Highs should
hit the low 70s Thursday, a few degrees
below normal for this time of the year.
Rain looks likely for your Friday
morning commute, before partial
clearing in the afternoon. After
morning lows near 60, expect highs near
70. Winds will gust around 20mph from
the south. Expect partly sunny skies
this weekend with only a few light

team is all set for a trip, but its
members are going much farther.

and Greece. Tech will play 4 games
over in Europe including 3 against the
Greek National Team.
And while the reason for the trip
is to work on their basketball skills
