VO NAT word to one another at the beginning of
the hearing.
In fact, Dupree's attorney came
over and sat between them so they would
have no interaction.
During the three hour hearing,
several officers testifed that Nininger
and Dupree were clearly drunk on the
night Richard Slone was struck and
killed while working in a construction
zone on Electric Road.
Slone's family tells us they're
still trying to get over the tragedy.

Memorial Service at Bethel Baptist
Church today.
The service honored officers who
died in the line of duty this past year
as well as those who died in past years

Attorney, Tom Bowers made remarks on
how these officers paid the ultimate
sacrifice to protect the innocent and
to ensure freedom.
The service honored more than
twenty fallen officers in the valley.

Center. A lowering and thickening
cloud deck will eventually drop a
soaking rain across the area Thursday
night. Most local rain gauges may
measure around 1.00" by Friday
morning. Temperatures will be mild
Thursday night; near 60. There will be
a few hours of wrap-around showers
(mainly in the western mountains) early
Friday, with decreasing cloudiness for
the rest of the day. Highs Friday top
out around 70. Expect clear skies
Friday evening and overnight with lows
in the cooler upper 40s. We're between
systems Saturday with mostly to partly
sunny skies. Highs should be warmer in
the mid 70s. While not a wash-out,
Sunday features more clouds with
occasional showers. Most of this
activity should be light. After morning
lows in the lower 50s, highs Sunday are
slated in the low 70s. Next week:
Monday looks dry before more shower
chances Tuesday. Wednesday looks wet in
the morning with afternoon clearing.

Division Three softball by early next
week. The school is making its first
appearance in the World Series, and
hopes to make the most of the
opportunity.

marking the 6th consecutive season
they've won 30 plus games. But
surviving the double elimination

Tournament, suffered a torn meniscus in
the regionals.

the Washington and Lee Women's Tennis
Team.
The Generals in the Finals this
afternoon against Williams College and
W & L suffered their first loss of the
season, 5 to 4, The Generals were
looking for their second straight
National Championship in their 4th
straight appearance in the Title Match.

2007 Season The Washington and Lee Football
Team would like to win a national
championship and they are hoping a Road
Trip to will help them do so.
The Generals will be travling to
France Next Year.
Frank Miriello will take his team

W & L will play the Paris Flash
and hope the trip will be good for Team
bonding.
In addition the players will be
earning a course credit by studying
American, French and European History.
