award twice last season at the

County's homecoming king.

county and in sports circles has taken
a much different turn.

the Revenue.
Now, he says he can explain why
he hadn't billed more than 500
businesses listed as "inactive."

running a puppy mill will not serve
jail time for 40 guilty counts of
neglect and animal cruelty.

Junior Horton owns Horton's Pups,
a dog-breeding business in Carroll
County.
Last year, he voluntarily handed
over hundreds of dogs because he was
over his limit.
The dogs were treated and put up
for adoption.
Today a judge ruled Horton
will serve probation and pay hundreds
of dollars in fines.
He'll also have to pay
veterinarians who helped in the rescue
operation.

the same. Two time Friday Football
Extra player of the week Peter Rose was
arrested today as part of an undercover
operation at Amherst County high
school. The star quarterback was
charged with distributing drugs. Two
of the charges are misdemeanors and two
are felonies.
Rose is part of an athletic
family in the Amherst Community. His
older brother Jonathan will be a
redshirt sophomore at JMU and his
younger brother is expected to be on
the Amherst varsity this coming season.

East Tennessee State and has spent the

Dechellis at Penn State, following a
stellar playing career at Roanoke
College .
He is in the Roanoke College

two time Division Three All American.
Scott inherits a Lynchburg team that
was just 3 and 22 this past season.
