multiple arrests

Seven current and former students
are facing charges.... of distributing
drugs like marijuana.

Peter Rose... led the Lancer's in
back-to-back state championships.

He recently committed to play
football for Virginia Tech.

Fellow athlete... Jody Ramsey is
also facing charges.

Ramsey is a catcher on the
Amherst County BASEBALL team.

The arrests came with the help of
a sheriff's deputy... who pretended to
be a student at the the school for 10

months.

The decoy was able to buy drugs
from students 18 DIFFERENT TIMES.

Many are hoping the arrests will
prevent others from selling drugs at
school.

We've been asking the
commissioner ever since why he wasn't
billing those 500 companies.

This week he determined 63 firms
remain in business... some are out of
town contractors....
