driver as the car broke out in flames.

Roanoke Airport starting this week.

crews will be fixing up the front plaza
to make room for more seating and
better access for passengers.
To do that..traffic lanes in
front of the terminal will be closed
while construction is going on...so, no
curbside pick up or drop off.
In the meantime, free parking

the short term lot.
The pricetag for the construction
totals about a half million dollars.

elementary school -- an elementary

October he had surgery to remove a
blockage in his left carotid artery. "
New York Univesity's Doctor Mark
Adelman says THAT surgery is probably
not
connected to Saturday's seizures. He
says during the past couple of days,
Kennedy's likely undergone a brain
scan, an MRI, an ultrasound and an echo
cardiogram -- all checking
circulation from the heart to the brain
as well
as overall brain function.

"It is quite possible that there is
something more serious going on as a
source of the seizure but there is a
50 50 chance that we are not going to
find out anything else wrong with the
senator outside of the seizure itself."
In that case, Adelman says Kennedy

executive for the NAACP.
A graduate of Columbia
University and a Rhodes scholar,
Jealous is youngest leader in the
99-year history of the organization.

Jealous takes over after the last
president Bruce Gordon abruptly

diesel plant in Maryland killed one man
this afternoon.

police, two men were installing a
methane line at the plant when the
explosion occured.
Authorities say aside from the
person who was killed another was taken
to the hospital.

Weak high pressure builds Monday with
mostly sunny skies, but clouds return
as soon as Monday night ahead of a
storm system which will bring rain to
the area Tuesday. Highs Monday are
forecast in the lower 70s. Winds may
still gust to around 30mph. Tuesday
will be cooler in the mid 60s. Rain
chances are at 70%.
After a few morning showers, Wednesday
features decreasing cloudiness and top
temperatures around 70. Thursday
through Sunday skies should be partly
to mostly sunny. High temperatures get
a kick back to near 80 next weekend.

Memorial completed another successful
run at the Roanoke Country Club this
afternoon.
Grant Kittelson dodged the
rain showers and caught up with the
winners following the final round.

Robertson.
In the Girls 15 to 18 Division,
Victoria Tanco from Argentina came into
the final round trailing the lead by 2
strokes, but her birdie on 15 gave
switched things around as she had a 2
stroke lead with 3 holes to play.
But on 18 Kristina Wong had this
birdie putt to tie for the lead and go
to a playoff, She would run the putt a
good distance by and settle for a bogey
and second place.
Tanco would tap in for a routine
par on the final Hole, and the 14 year
hold claims the Girls upper division
title.

On the Boy's Side of things there
would be no comeback from those
trailing heading into hte final round
as the 3 Players in the Final Group all
shot even par.
That meant Crawford Reeves would
take home the Scott Robertson title at

Sullivan is headed home from Japan
after finishing tied for 18th in the
Japanese PGA Championship.

final round to finish at 5-under par
for the event. Shingo Katayama won the
tournament at 23-under par. Sullivan
earned a paycheck worth one million,
586 thousand yen, which translates to a
