but for the staff at the Drew Expo--
safety always comes first.

that injured 24 people at a California
fair. The ride called the YO-YO
collapsed with several children on
board Friday. It was due for an
inspection in a couple of weeks.(use

Dave Eisinger is the ride supervisor at
the traveling Drew Expo. He says THESE
rides are gone over with a fine tooth
comb before anyone steps on board.

the fight to keep Forest Park
elementary school open next year.

announcement on the steps of Roanoke
City Hall.

The announcement will be at 1:30.

Then the PTA is expected to head
into the city council meeting and make
another appeal to save the elementary
school.

The outcry follows a decision by
the school board two weeks ago to
convert Forest Park to an overage
academy for students at risk of
dropping out.

to make room for more seating and
better access for passengers.

To do that..traffic lanes in
front of the terminal will be closed
while construction is going on...so, no
curbside pick up or drop off.

In the meantime, free parking
will be available for half an hour in
the short term lot.

The pricetag for the construction
totals about a half million dollars.

people who are overweight have lower
levels of certain chemicals that signal
good brain function.

The findings suggest excess body fat
may speed the brain aging process,
which could put people at greater risk
of diseases such as Alzheimer's.

A new survey's found just 5-percent of
U-S cancer survivors follow experts'
advice on diet and exercise.

They recommend at least 2-and-a-half
hours of exercise a week, 5 servings of
fruits and vegetables daily, and to
quit smoking entirely.

Listening to half an hour of music each
day may significantly lower your blood
pressure.

Researchers tested 48 adults with
hypertension. 28 listened to music
daily - 20 did not.

After a month, the listeners' blood
pressure had dropped while the others
showed no improvement.
