in Bedford County...
Authorities tell us three mobile
homes are involved.
It's just off of Route 221
northbound at Millners Drive.
Police say everyone has made it
out of the homes safely.
They also say the right lane of
221 is closed because they are using
the lane for their equipment.

accident.

five-year-old daughter Maria.
Authorities say Maria's teenage
brother struck and killed her with an
S-U-V in the driveway of the family's
home near Nashville.
The brother, whose name and exact age
weren't available,
apparently didn't see his sister.
No charges are expected.
Chapman and his wife have promoted
international adoption.
They have three daughters from China,
including Maria. They also have three
biological children.

help identifying a man accused of bank
robbery.

The hold-up took place just
before three yesterday afternoon at the
B-B-and-T branch at the intersection of
Williamson Road and Manor Street.
Police say the suspect walked
into the bank, demanded money and then
ran away.
Investigators say the suspect was
wearing blue jeans, a dark blue T
shirt, a ball cap and white tennis
shoes.
He also had a bandage on his
right arm.

Rodgers was fired from from the job
because she didn't live up to her
contract.
Rodgers had been on PAID
administrative leave since the end of
March.
The board voted unanimously to
let her go saying: "Doctor Rodgers'
employment as Superintendent for the
Craig Co. School Division shall be and
hereby is terminated, without
additional pay or benefits, effective
May 20th, 2008."
Ron Gordon, who has been the
acting superintendent, will continue in
that role while the school board
reviews applications.

accident.

Authorities say Maria's teenage
brother struck and killed her with an

No charges are expected.
Chapman and his wife have promoted
international adoption.
They have three daughters from China,
including Maria. They also have three

hosted the "Ride of Silence" yesterday
afternoon in Roanoke.
Bicyclists rode the nine-mile
stretch in silence in order to honor
those who have been killed or injured
while cycling.

April after having been struck by a car
while riding a bike.

it's called, is based on the
assumption that gravitational forces of
the moon may have an effect upon
plants.
Keep in mind that the Light of the Moon
is the period between New Moon and Full
Moon when it is waxing, or growing
lighter. The Dark of the Moon is the
period from Full Moon to the New Moon,
when it is decreasing or getting
darker.
After you have figured the proper
waxing and waning periods, you may want
to test these suggestions.
Plant below-ground crops, or root crops
(beets, carrots, potatoes or turnips)
in the Dark of the Moon.
Plant above-ground crops, like beans,
lettuce, corn or cucumbers in the Light
of the Moon.
Plant flowers while the moon is in the
first quarter.
Pull out weeds in the last quarter of
the moon
Any hole dug during the waning moon
will produce less dirt for refilling
than one dug when the moon is waxing.
That means you'll need some extra dirt.

authorities say appears to be a tragic
accident.

during a performance in 1995-- lost his
five-year-old daughter Maria.
Authorities say Maria's teenage
brother struck and killed her with an
S-U-V in the driveway of the family's
home near Nashville.
The brother, whose name and exact age
weren't available,
apparently didn't see his sister.
No charges are expected.
Chapman and his wife have promoted
international adoption.
They have three daughters from China,
including Maria. They also have three
biological children.

The child's father- Chris Price-
told News 7 - Crutchfield grabbed his
son at school last week- and left hand
shaped bruises on each of the boy's
arms.

yesterday at the age of 69.

The fate of Florida hangs over the
Democratic Party like a black cloud.

CLINTON/D-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE):
"NOT COUNTING VOTES? IT'S A REPUBLICAN
THING - NOT A DEMOCRATIC ONE!"
Florida - as well as Michigan - was
stripped of its delegates for moving up
its primary against Party rules.
Neither Clinton nor Barack Obama
campaigned
in those contests, and Obama's name
wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan.

"THANK YOU FLORIDA DEMOCRATS!...."
Since winning big in both
states........and then falling into
second-place,
the Clinton strategy has increasingly
focused on getting those votes counted
and delegates seated.
The Party's Rules Committee is set to
meet May 31st to try and resolve the
dispute, but with Obama having extended
his lead to a nearly insurmountable
margin, it's starting to feel a bit
like a sideshow.
