investigating a shooting in Northwest
Roanoke.

It happened just before 10:30
last night... in the 800 block of
Seventh Street.
Authorities say 29-year-old Jason
Bonds of Roanoke... suffered a gun shot
wound.
He was eventually taken Carillion
Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
There is no word on his
condition. Police have not made any
arrests in connection with the
shooting.
But, a person at the scene
had to peppered sprayed and put into a
squad car...after getting into an
argument with another person and
threatening to shoot them.

school... after a student was spotted
with a weapon.

It happened around 11 yesterday
morning at E-C Glass.
An assistant principal noticed a
student with a knife and asked him to
hand it over.
The student took off, forcing the
school to lock down.
Police caught the student within
five minutes...but the lockdown lasted
nearly an hour.

connection to a series of Botetourt
County Pharmacy break-ins.

Scott Mitchell... of Blue Ridge
Thursday.
Mitchell is believed to be behind
two breakins - One at the Blue Ridge
Pharmacy on May 5th and the other at
the Down Home Pharmacy on May 19th.
Prescription drugs and cash were
taken.
Police say he also tried but
FAILED to break-in to the Blue Ridge
Pharmacy AGAIN...just two weeks later.

bank... but a Lynchburg man is going to
prison for making the attempt.

walked into the Carter Bank and Trust
on Campbell Avenue last November and
used a gun to get money from a teller.
Instead of leaving with the
cash... he handed the teller his gun
and waited for police.
Yesterday, a judge sentenced
Davis to 5 years in prison.

Animal lovers are invited to woof

Roanoke next Saturday. The Woofstock
Dog Festival is coming to Elmwood Park
for the first time.

of the organizers of the event, Elliot

How did the idea for this festival come

police are looking for a suspect.

It happened just before 10:30
last night... in the 800 block of
Seventh Street.
Authorities say 29-year-old Jason
Bonds of Roanoke... suffered a gun shot
wound.
He was eventually taken Carillion
Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
There is no word on his
condition. Police have not made any
arrests in connection with the
shooting.
But, a person at the scene
had to peppered sprayed and put into a
squad car...after getting into an
argument with another person and
threatening to shoot them.
