For nearly everyone these days--
filling the gas tank is a matter of
dollars and cents. Especially for those
who pump premium. SHOW SHOT OF PRICES
GOING UP..

52:13-17 clip 46 "WHEN I SEE THE CAR
IS CLOSE TO COMING ON EMPTY I
DEFINITELY GET UPSET, I HAVE TO PAY 4
DOLLARS FOR A GALLON OF GAS.

That's why Jasmine Bethel is
considering downgrading to regular
gas...

STUP On average premium costs 10 to 15
cents more than regular. When filling
your tank the key is knowing whether
your car manufacturer recommends or
requires premium for your engine.

26:00-26:08 clip 7 YOU COULD DO SOME
DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE, ESPECIALLY IF ITS
A HIGH COMPRESSION ENGINE, AND YOU PUT
LOWER GAS.

Rodney Cassidy with Woods Service
Center says you're taking a risk that
could end up costing you thousands in
repairs.

Plus switching to a lower grade gas
won't neccesarily save you money...you
just might end up using more gas in the
end.

27:28-34 clip 7 IT HAS LESS POWER, SO
YOU HAVE TO PUSH IT HARDER TO MAKE THE
SAME POWER YOU WOULD'VE USING PREMIUM
GAS."

While saving a few cents at the
pump may be enticing...some drivers
aren't willing to drop down from
premium just yet.

sot 52:26-33 clip 46 "THAT'S THE BEST

KIND FOR THIS CAR AND I DON'T WANT
ANYTHING TO HAPPEN TO THE CAR."

A legitamate concern that could very
well keep her from spending even more
money in the long run. SA NEWS 7
