<< Good evening, I'm meteorologist
Robin Reed in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. A cold front will work through
tonight and early Wednesday, bringing
scattered showers and thunderstorms.
While not everyone will get wet, some
communities along and east of the Blue
Ridge Mountains may find brief
downpours and gusty winds with the
storms. Any remaining showers will
exit Wednesday morning, with areas and
fog sticking around as we start the
day. By the afternoon, sunshine will
break through, but not enough to make
up for the cooler air behind the front.
Look for highs Wednesday near 70. A
ridge of high pressure will keep the
region in a fairly dry pattern Thursday
and Friday, with increased shower/storm
chances (30-40%) Saturday through
Monday. As far as temperatures go,
warmer southwest winds will push highs
back into the low 80s by the end of the
week and into the weekend. TUESDAY
NIGHT: Scattered showers and storms.
