Clinton needs the party's super
delegates to swing her way to have any
shot

at the nomination. She's trying to
convince them ... she has the best

chance of beating John McCain in the
general election... even though Obama
is

ahead in delegates and the popular
vote. Clinton would reduce his lead if

she can secure the delegates that were
stripped from Michigan and Florida -

because the states moved up their

primaries.

Sot: David Mark/Senior Editor,

"Hillary Clinton has a slight, very
slight chance to win, but almost

negligible at this point."

(Susan Roberts Bridge/Washington DC)

Obama has a huge war chest for the
general election... so John McCain is
busy

raising money. President Bush will
headline three fundraisers out West..

McCain will only attend one of them.

McCain is walking a fine line. He
doesn't want to align himself too
closely

with an unpopular president.

(natz McCain)

He's also walking a fine line in
Iraq... distancing himself from the
Bush

Administration's handling of the war,
while inviting Obama to visit the

country with him. McCain has been to

Iraq eight times... most recently in

March. Obama hasn't been there since
2006.

McCain has a five year plan to get most
troops out of Iraq... Obama wants them

home sooner.

The two men are likely to continue to
spar over the war... as the general

election battle heats up.

If Festival is a tradition for
vendors and visitors, it's also a
familiar stop for 1964: The Tribute.
This was the band's 16th appearance in

Larry Landolt says planning an outdoor
event months in advance is always a
roll of the dice.

But this year, the gamble paid
off, with picture perfect weather and
four nights of concerts that filled
Elwood Park.

The helium balloon Michel Fournier was
going ride high above Canada this
morning drifted away...

He had planned to ride in a small

capsule attached to the balloon, and
then jump from 130- thousand feet.

It's not clear whether the balloon
was intentionally released for some
reason, or if it was a technical
problem.
