charged an Altavista man with capital
murder and robbery.
Court records show 21-year-old
Alphonso Lamont Destin was arrested at
9:53 Wednesday night.

Campbell County Sheriff's office
announced an arrest in the murder of
Wilber West of Lynch Station.
Deputies said he was arrested around
10:00 p.m.
The sheriff's office said it would
release more information this
afternoon.

starting to look into a deadly commuter
train collision near Boston.

year- old train operator Terrese
Edmonds.
The crash happened around 6 last
night, when Edmonds' train rear- ended
another train.
Both trains were packed with
commuters at the time.
At least eight people have been
hospitalized, and one was airlifted.
Transit officials say it's tough
losing one of their own.

eliminate flights, lay off employees
and add all sorts of extra charges -
from fuel surcharges to baggage fees.
Checking even one bag on an American
Airlines plane now costs 15 dollars.

shutting down.

Central Virginia Community
Services runs the facility.
They say treating just one person

January 16 The husband of newlywed pop singer
Ashlee Simpson has confirmed his wife
is pregnant.
Pete Wentz wrote in his blog that
the couple wanted to wait until after
the first trimester to confirm the
pregnancy.
No word yet on when the baby's due.
Simpson, who's 23, married the 28-
year- old bassist for the group Fall
Out Boy earlier this month.
By the way, People-dot-com is
reporting the mom- to be will go by
Ashlee Simpson -Wentz as her
professional name.
