A military gunship, flying at
tree-top level ...in Roanoke.
It's an extended training mission
for this Air Force helicopter unit.
Known as the Green Hornets,
they're based on the Florida panhandle.
Because the land is flat down
there, they've come here to experience
the challenges of unusual terrain and
higher elevation.
The advance team's been here
since Memorial Day. They'll be in town
through next week.

The Vikings would strike first in
this one on a strange goal. Northside
does a nice job of centering the pass
in front of the net. The Turner Ashby

The Vikings persistence pays off

unanswered.
