caused at least 200 thousand dollars
worth of damage.

This Morning When crews arrived at this
warehouse on the 33 hundred block of
Shenandoah Avenue around four AM, heavy
smoke was pouring out of the building.
It took more than 30 firefighters
to get the fire under control.
Several roads in the area were
blocked off for safety reasons.
No one inside the warehouse.
The cause of the fire is under
investigation.

As 19 year old Aaron West sifts
throught the job ads at Valley View
Mall, his hopes for getting hired grow
dim.

According to a paper published by the
Center for Labor Market Studies at
Northeastern University, a little more
than 1/3rd of teens are likely to be
employed this summer.

government began tracking working teens

made on whether to build an intermodal
rail facility in Elliston.
That according to Governor
Tim Kaine.

getting national attention.

house last fall when it was under
renovation.
It's now featured in the June
edition of Renovation Style Magazine.
The owners say it took two years
to fix up the 26 hundred square foot
house.
The log cabin was originally
built in the 18 hundreds.
The Holland family who owns it,
believes it was chosen for the magazine
because of its old age and historic
ties to the Civil War.

long homestand on this Sunday
afternoon, squaring off with
Winston-Salem in a matinee at Salem
Memorial Stadium.

The Avs trailed 3-nothing early
in the game, but Koby Clemens prevents
any further damage showing off his arm
and throwing out the runner trying to
steal 2nd.
But the Avs offense mustered
just 4 hits today off Warthogs starter
John Ely who went into the 8th inning,
striking out six Avalanche players.
Salem Manager Jim Pankovits was ejected
in the middle innings.
And Anderson Gomes added this
*CG final Winston-Salem solo homer to deep left field off
4 Corey Bass in the 6th inning for the
Salem visitors. Winston-Salem went on to win
3 it 4 to 3 over the Avalanche.

NCAA Baseball Tournament out west. The
Hoos take on regional host Cal-State
Fullerton just after 7 Eastern. The
loser is done while the winner will
face UCLA for the regional title. The
Bruins are the only unbeaten team left
at the Fullerton site.
