Roanoke City Police say Sable was
shot three or four time outside the
Food Lion grocery store on Peters Creek
Road-- then ran inside the store for
help.
Sable told a witness his ex-girlfriend
shot him..
A few hours later- Roanoke County
police went to Maxey's house on
Parkview Drive.
According to a search warrant- police
knocked on the door, and moments later
- they heard a bang.

Last week, sheriff's officials
searched a house on Leewood Road where
he'd been staying.
And they found some items that
didn't belong there.

(END SOT) initial search of Alphonso Destin's
home, they took pictures of objects
around the house.
After taking a close look at
those pictures, they found several
items that led them to do a second
search.
According to warrants,
investigators found a box of personal
checks, along with a list of electronic
items.
The checks were reported stolen
from a home in Gretna, during a
breaking and entering April 15th.
The victim's name was still
printed at the top.
Search warrents also show that
someone made a call from the Gretna
home during the break-in.
Investigators say the call was to
the cell phone of Destin's brother,
Alphonsi.>>

County Sheriff's Office this afternoon.

parking for free in city garages will

Police say two men walked in, one
of them carrying a gun.
The suspect fired at least one
round, almost hitting a store clerk.

say money was also the motive for at
least one man who's been stealing
expensive farm equipment.

Sheriff's authorities recently
arrested David Kelly for trying to rip
off a farm utility vehicle from a store
on Route 220.
They say Kelley has stolen at
least 20 pieces of equipment in the
past five years - selling them at
discounted prices.
Now they're trying to figure out
if he had help.
Investigators have recovered some
of the items near the Richmond area,
also Pittsylvania and Rockingham
Counties.

Montgomery County are finished.

age of the piping caused the break.
It happened around 7 a-m and
flooded part of Perry's Ferry Road -
backing up traffic.
Several dozens customers were
without water for a few hours this
morning.
The line supplies water to people
in Christiansburg, Blacksburg and
Montgomery County.
Part of the road was washed out
too.
That will take longer to repair,
and traffic is still down to one lane.

Center. High pressure that brought
the sunshine Monday will move off the
coast tonight allowing a front to slide
south and stall in the Ohio Valley
Tuesday and Wednesday. Clouds will
thicken tonight, and we'll notice more
clouds than sun Tuesday with a few
afternoon/evening storms. Tuesday
Night and into Wednesday, the front
will sag farther south. This provides
the best chance of showers and storms
to the northwestern sections of the
viewing area, and lesser chances east
through Wednesday afternoon. Highs will
gradually warm to the mid and upper 80s
through Wednesday. Thursday, the warm
front will move to the north, with
extremely warm and muggy afternoon
temperatures. Highs will reach the low
90s on Thursday and Friday. A ridge of
high pressure will strengthen by the
weekend. This should allow dry
conditions at the moment, with highs
