appear to have been related.

parking lot of a Roanoke grocery store
Shots were reportedly fired
around 7:45 last night at the Food Lion
in the 2600 block of Peters Creek Road.
The victim is a male.
He was taken to Carilion Roanoke
Memorial for treatment.
Authorities aren't releasing his
name until they speak with his family.

were attempting to locate a person of
interest in the shooting at a home in
the 2600 block of Parkview Drive in
Roanoke County.
Once on the scene, offficers
located the body of an unidentified
person inside the residence.
More information about the two
incidents is expected to be released
later this morning.

in Danville.
Police say around 7 o' clock,
they got a call of shots fired on the
600 block of Warsham Street.
When they arrived, a man fled on
foot and dropped a semi-automatic
rifle.
Later, at around 11:30, they say
a drive-by occured in the same area.
Three people were taken to the
hospital with minor injuries and have
been released.
Police have arrested and charged
20 year old Thomas Lee Waller in the
crime, but they are still looking for
other people who were in the car.

for two suspects in a convenience store
robbery.
It happened last night at the Los
Amigos Latina Store on Lakeside Drive.
One of the men allegedly fired a
round of bullets inside the store,
barely missing the clerk.
Some cash and checks were stolen.

appear to be making progress.
Employees have been working
without a contract since January.
A spokesman for the nine labor
groups says all sides are working
toward an agreement, but they're not

A Greenbrier spokeswoman also

The resort says it's lost
millions of dollars in business as

Police say a man was shot in the
parking lot of a Roanoke grocery store
Shots were reportedly fired
around 7:45 last night at the Food Lion
in the 2600 block of Peters Creek Road.
The victim is a male.
He was taken to Carilion Roanoke
Memorial for treatment.
Authorities aren't releasing his
name until they speak with his family.

interest in the shooting at a home in
the 2600 block of Parkview Drive in
Roanoke County.
Once on the scene, offficers

Three people were taken to the
hospital with minor injuries and have
been released.
Police have arrested and charged
20 year old Thomas Lee Waller in the
crime, but they are still looking for
other suspects.

around 7:45 last night at the Food Lion

The victim is a male.

Tim Kaine.

sheriff's deputy were injured..and

finally put out the flames...At its
peak, the
back-lot blaze was the size of 2 city
blocks.

The fire destroyed an area used for New
York City street scenes and torched

touched and studio executives say
nothing irreplaceable was lost.

fighters was the lack of water
pressure.
They improvised by pumping water from a
nearby lake. One major concern was
that the flames could jump from the lot
to the hills where people live.
Once they knew they were safe, nearby
homeowners could worry about the LESS
