Investigators say a drunk driver
hit three vehicles and two mobile homes
last night around 10-30 in the Adams
Marke Mobile Home Park along Merrimac
Road just outside of Blacksburg.
The S-U-V came to a stop in
someone's bedroom.

influence, driving without a license
and 5 counts of destruction of
property.

Memorial Day crash involving a
Botetourt County firetruck will soon be
in the hands of the Commonwealth's
Attorney.
Police say Eagle Rock Volunteer
firefighter- Lucas McCullogh ma-culluck
was heading to an accident scene on
Route 220 about a week ago, when he
crossed the center line and hit a pick
up truck driven by Rusty Meadows.
Meadows and his passenger Judi
Martin died at the scene.
State Police say they finished
reconstructing the crash and the
Botetourt County Commonwealth's
Attorney will decide whether to file
charges.

suspected of stabbing a man to death.
Roanoke Police say
19-year-old William Christopher Linn
was stabbed around 11:30 last night on
Baldwin Avenue.
Linn went a few blocks to a
friend's house in Vinton. He died at
the hospital.
This afternoon, police
arrested the 16-year-old. Her name is
not being released because of her age.
Investigators say she and
Linn knew each other.

indictments against Slade Woodson. He's

the March 27th shootings.

selling its baseball fields.

and one you'll hear almost every
night of the week at the Brookville
Ruritan Fields.
Jodi Charak/Baseball Parent:
"There's three kids in the family
playing, so it could be up to four or
five nights a week that we're here."
But what's now a busy park, could
soon look - like this.
The Ruritan club that owns the
fields can't afford to run them
anymore.
So they're looking at selling the
28-acre complex.
A big concern for parents of
Timberlake Dixie Youth - who use all
eight of these fields.
Amy Baugher/Baseball Parent: "It
would be real difficult to go find
another ball club to play for. We know
alot of the people here and my children
love to come over and play."
That's why the club is raising
money to buy the fields from the
Ruritans.
Jeff Woolard/Timberlake Dixie
Youth: "If we had to leave, that would
be 500 boys and girls in the Lynchburg,
Timberlake area without a place to
play."
These fields sit right in the
middle of a residential neighborhood.
Many parents worry, if this land is
sold, it won't take long for developers
to buy it and cover it with houses.
Woolard: "I hate to say it, but
it would probably go to residential or
townhouses like you see going up
everywhere else."
Buying the fields will take more
than half a million dollars.
Parents are holding fundraisers
to collect the money, but they say it
could take a while.
Something the Ruritans
understand.
Woolard: "They're not pushing us
out. They're working with us where
this can come together and make this
happen."
And keep the bats swinging in
Brookville.

He served as president of the
Confederate States for four- years
during the Civil War.
People from as far as Canada
gathered at the old Confederate White
House in Richmond to remember Davis.
"The Civil War Trails" Program
unveiled a new historic marker.
History remembers Davis as cold
and distant, but some historians say
he's just misunderstood.

Brent Watts in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. Several waves of storms are
coming in from the west this evening.
Many of these have a history of
producing strong winds, hail and heavy
downpours in West Virginia. Several
will make it over the mountains with
the best chances in the western
counties, and lesser in the east as the
storms weaken. Wednesday, the cold
front passes to the south with another
wave of storms riding along it. This
provides the best chance of showers and
storms during the afternoon. Highs will
gradually warm to the mid and upper 80s
to near 90 Wednesday. Thursday, the
warm front will move to the north, with
extremely warm and muggy afternoon
temperatures. Highs will reach the low
to mid 90s on Thursday and Friday. A
ridge of high pressure will strengthen
by the weekend. This should allow
fairly dry conditions, and highs
nearing 90 degrees. TUESDAY NIGHT:
