for crashing an S-U- V into not one,
but TWO trailers in Blacksburg last
night, triggering a fire.

300 block of Merrimac Road, that's in
the Adam Mark Trailer Park.
Police say an SUV hit a trailer
and several cars before coming to a
stop in the bedroom of a second
trailer.
There was someone inside the
home, but they were able to escape.
No one was injured.

ex-girlfriend who shot him in a grocery
store parking lot.

Sunday Night This was the scene Sunday night
at the Food Lion off of Peters Creek
Road.
Roanoke City Police say Mark
Sable was shot three or four times
outside the store, before running
inside the store for help.
Sable told a witness his
ex-girlfriend, Kelly Maxey shot him..

Sunday Night police went to Maxey's house on
Parkview Drive.
According to a search warrant-
police knocked on the door, and moments
later - she killed herself.

plan for Roanoke residents who were
parking for free in city garages.

five years and now authorities have
arrested a suspect in the case.

off a farm utility vehicle from
Anderson Lawn & Garden on Route 220.

Campbell County man may be connected to
a crime in Pittsylvania County.

Investigators searched Destin's
home on Leewood Road and found items

recent donation.
The money will be used to set up
a new creative writing center, and an
endowed chair in creative writing.
The money came from a 19-68
alumna.
Hollins' English and creative
writing programs have produced three
Pulitzer Prize winners.

are using art to inspire and entertain,
and they have developed a design that
will provide shelter from the wind and
rain.

Yesterday morning, students from
Patrick Henry High School showed off
their design for a Valley Metro bus
shelter at a meeting of city council.
Their proposal resembles a large
colorful umbrella.
They've been working with artist,
Ed Dolinger (DAW-lin-jer) , who has
also created a tree design that would
blend in with the landscape.

winning musical, "Into the Woods" takes
the stage at Mill Mountain Theatre
tomorrow night.

The musical takes the audience
along a journey with classic fairy tale
characters... Cinderella, Snow White,
Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty and a host of
others.
The show features 20 characters,
and the costume department at Mill
Mountain Theatre has been pulling 12-
hour days to get the fairy tale look
just right.

High pressure that brought the sunshine
Monday will move off the coast allowing
a front to slide south and stall in the
Ohio Valley Tuesday afternoon and
Wednesday. We'll notice more clouds
than sun Tuesday with a few
afternoon/evening storms. Tuesday
Night and into Wednesday, the front
will sag farther south. This provides
the best chance of showers and storms
to the northwestern sections of the
viewing area, and lesser chances east
through Wednesday afternoon. Highs will
gradually warm to the mid and upper 80s
