one lane bridge in Giles County and
didn't quite make it.

A eight ton weight limit is
posted, but a fire fighter says the
truck was at least 30 tons.
The bridge was built back in
1923....is 158 feet long.. and just one

The driver, who was making a
delivery, had only minor injuries.
Work is underway to replace the
bridge.

truck.

Workers at Westover Dairy found
ammonia coming from a cooling tank
around 11:00 yesterday morning.
Fifty-nine people were evacuated,
and streets around the plant were
blocked off.
No one was hurt.
Students at nearby T-C Miller
Elementary were bused to E-C Glass High
School.
The chemicals did not put them in
danger, but administrators moved the
students just in case.

released more information about that
E-F-ZERO tornado that swept through
Roanoke Tuesday night.
The tornado started near Welch
Road and Bluefield near Colonial
Avenue.

At it's peak... winds were
anywhere from 70 to 80 miles per hour.
The National Wether Service also
determined the tornado lasted three and
a half minutes max.
At it's widest point the twister
was about 60 yards -- a little over
