Floyd County murder.

Joshua Jonathan Hairston of Floyd
County.

night.

The victim's father identified
his son to News 7.... as 39 year-old
Sean Neumann.... and said he had been
shot SEVERAL times.

Neumann's father said his son was
renting this small house for several
months, and he had lived in the area

for about year.

He said he had no idea... why
anyone would want to kill him.

CAM Officers responded to a stabbing

It happened near Towers Shopping
Mall at around 8:30 last night.

They found a man lying in the
parking lot bleeding near Kinko's.

Investigators believe he was
stabbed at a home on Colonial Avenue at
the intersection of Wonju and then ran
to Towers.

The victim was taken to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.

His name is not being released
and no arrests have been made.

the name of a PEDESTRIAN hit and killed
by a car in Roanoke.

It happened yesterday in the
35-hundred block of Hershberger Road.

Roanoke Police say the PEDESTRIAN
and the driver of this white pickup
truck were both traveling east at the
time of the collision.

An eyewitness tells News 7.... it
appears the pedestrian stepped onto the
road.

News 7's Justin McLeod talked
with nearby residents, who say
incidents like these happen all too
often.

of people have been hit or have come
close to it over the years.

Back in September for example, a
bicyclist was struck at the corner of
Hershberger and Cove Road.

Luckily, his injuries were not life
threatening.

But the latest incident was deadly
and many are not surprised.

He was then hit by a car and died

killed a construction worker earlier
this year... will go to trial in
October.

were found GUILTY last month of driving
under the influence... the night of the
wreck on Route 419.

They're appealing that
conviction.

A Circuit Court jury will re-try
the D-U-I case... along with aggravated
involuntary manslaughter charges in the
Fall.

two teenagers dead.

next week. Shower and storm chances
will become a little more common as a
cool front to the north bumps into our
current ridge which will be sliding to
the east.

his son to News 7.... as 39 year-old
Sean Neumann.... and said he had been

of taking bribes.

Investigators say Delayo also

were trying to get their operators'

All of this comes to light... one
week after the second fatal crane

The California Supreme Court
recently gave the green light for gay
marriages, set to begin June 17th.

native Lisa Miller went to Vermont to
enter into a civil union with her
partner Janet Jenkins.

Two years later.... she was
artificially inseminated and gave birth
to a daughter, Isabella.

Miller later disavowed

homosexuality and the civil union was
dissolved.

Jenkins still lives in Vermont
and has been fighting for visitation
rights.

Vermont courts have ruled in her
favor... and now the Virginia Supreme
Court has as well.
