Roanoke Valley Hall of Fame Marshall Bailey of Fincastle just :00 finished his freshman year at Tech. He
nailed this putt on 18 to go to a
playoff with Fielding Brewbaker.

Brewbaker rallied from a 5 shot

deficit today but needed this putt on
the first hole of sudden death to keep
it going, but he just burns the edge.

Bailey won it with a birdie.

TNT Kurt Busch brought out the early :00 caution flag with this spin in the
corner as he got loose in the 2 machine
for Penske Racing.

That was just the beginning.
Points leader Kurt's borther Kyle Busch
went to a backup car after wrecking in
practice, and here he tries to squeeze
into a spot that wasn't there, clipping

Jamie McMurray and cutting a tire in
the process, finishing 43rd after
another spin.

A little later, more crunching
as Clint Bowyer goes on a spin o rama
and Juan Montoya slams into his ride.
Montoya's car eventually burst into
flames, but he would escape o-k.

After an early mishap in the
pits, Kahne battled back and was out
front when it counted. He led Brian
Vickers and Denny Hamlin across the
stripe for his 2nd win this season,
moving from 12th to 9th in the points

Hillcats vs. Avalanche Not many folks braved the heat :00 and humidity at the ballpark this
afternoon.

The Hillcats bats were just as
hot as the air. They got a run in the
2nd and four in the 3rd. Steven Lerud
singles to right centerfield and that
was good enough to score Jim Negrych.

Still in the third. Eddie
Prasch would rip a double to the
warning track in the gap. Lerud raced
home and that chased Avs starter David

Qualben.

Michael Crotta got the win on
the hill for Lynchburg. He worked 6
and two thirds, *CG final Lynchburg striking out four and allowing just 8 two hits as the Hillcats won it by an 8 Salem to 3 final.

For dog lovers interested in
having some hooch for their pooch,
there's now an option.

A company in Arizona is creating
a drink specifically for dogs.

"Bowser Beer" comes in the
popular flavor of "beefy brown ale."

The drink is made with barley and
beef broth, but doesn't include any
hops, so there's no alcohol content.

You can find the beer in
45-states, including Virginia...but it
will cost you.

For a six-pack you're looking at
20-bucks.
