delivering the June extreme heat is
slowly weakening and drifting off the
coast. This will allow a cold front to
approach from the west, increasing the
clouds and also shower chances over the
next several days. We have one more
hot one Tuesday before temperatures
begin the slow walk downward. Look for
highs Tuesday around 95 in Roanoke,
with continued high humidity. Clouds
will increase with a few late afternoon
showers. Wednesday through Friday,
look for partly cloudy skies with an
occasional afternoon shower/storm, and
highs reaching the upper 80s. The
weekend looks about the same, with an
afternoon shower/storm possible. For

mstevens@wdbj7.com To some the perception may have
been that Virginia Tech was falling
behind in the Football recruiting
battle for the 2009 Class. But the
Hokie Coaching staff is seeing the
fruits of its labor and the Camp that
was held this past weekend in
Blacksburg proves just that as the
Hokies got 2 oral commitments over the
weekend and third one today.

"A" levels on the Radford University

that R-U has hosted the event. And the
Cooperation of all the parties involved
mirrors that of the teams taking part
on the playing fields.
(DOWNS BITE:)
The Virginia High School League
has recently been expanding their
playoffs, they added another level to
the Single "A" State Basketball
Championships this past season and will
do so at the Double "A" level beginning
next season.
The possiblity exsists that the
same thing could happen for the Spring
Sports, doubling the amount of games
that Radford would have to host.

Next Year's Spring Jubilee will
be held June 4th through the 6th on
