For weeks, mid-westerners have fought
valiantly to hold back the Mississippi

In Cedar Rapids, volunteers are helping
to clean out more than 4-thousand,

flood-ravaged homes. But little can be
done to salvage the crops. A report

due Monday from the Department of
Agriculture will give the country its
first

glimpse of how bad it is. Early
estimates show Indiana lost 10 percent
of its

corn and soybean crop. In Iowa, 8

percent of the corn yield. The
economic

crop loss in just those two states
nears 4 billion dollars...devastating
for

the Midwest, but not as bad as the
floods of 1993. Still, agriculture

officials warn they won't see the real
damage until after the fall harvest...a

price they will inevitably pass on to
every American. Bianca Solorzano, CBS

mstevens@wdbj7.com The NASCAR Sprint Cup series
closed out a big weekend of racing in
New Hampshire with the Lenox Industrial
Tools 301.

The track in Loudon can be tough
on brakes as witnessed by the amount of
brake dust that was in the air during
pit stops.

TNT Look at the black dust come off

:00 of the brakes on Kasey Kahne's
Budweiser Dodge as the team removes the
right side tires during this stop early
in the race.

Dario Franchitti's eventful and
often forgettable rookie season
continued to head south as he ended up
in the spin cycle and the wall once
again this afternoon.

Getting in the pits was also an
adventure. Watch Jamie McMurray run
all over Dale Junior who was slowing
down trying to enter pit road.
McMurray later admitted he never even
saw Junior's car.

Juan Pablo Montoya and Kyle Busch
did see each other as they traded paint
before Montoya admitted that he
intentionally turned into Busch
wrecking both drivers.

Tony Stewart and his crew were
the best on the day in the pits and on
the track as Stewart led a race high
126 laps.

But with just 17 laps to go the
rain arrived in New Hampshire and the
race was called after 284 laps.

That was exactly what Kurt Busch
wanted to hear as he gambled and won

the rain shortened event for his first
win since August of 2007.

Here's a look at some of the top
finishers.

NBC Sports Harrison, who is fron Richmond, :00 is the first individual from Tech's
track and field program to represent
any country at any Olympic games.

She's also the first Tech female
to make a US Olympic team in any sport
and the first Tech athlete male or
female since Bimbo Coles in 1988 to
represent America in the games.

She came out of nowhere to finish

second in this event.

Running in a black suit in lane
number eight, she had to first hurdle
over one of her competitors - LaTosha
Wallace who fell in lane seven and
landed right in her path.

Harrison not only was able to
gather herself, but somehow she was
able to muster a wicked sprint to the
finish on a suspect hamstring and nip
two other highly touted competitors at
the tape for the second place finish.

Harrison's time was 54 point six
seconds. Tifffany Ross-Williams won
the event.
