Investigators say Long came at

The two officers were placed on

drowned Saturday in the Staunton River,
near Brookneal.
Conner was taking part in the
annual Fun Float event, where thousands
ride down the river in boats, canoes
and innertubes.
Investigators say Connor was not

encourage everyone to wear a safety
vest on the river, but the liability
rests with the individual.

tanker truck overturned in Fairfax

Firefighters say the truck was
transporting 55-hundred gallons of
