southside -- another factory's laying
off hundreds of workers -- this time in
Martinsville.

American of Martinsville
made the announcement earlier today.

The company will lay off
400 of it's 703 full-time workers at

Blockbuster doesn't want to buy the
struggling retailer anymore.

electronic company fell 40 cents in
afternoon trading.

It's been more than 17 years
since the stock was this low.

A J-P Morgan analyst told
investors today that he believes there
are other parties interested in buying
the company.

shot himself...

Yesterday Roanoke Police say Robert
Kennedy, the owner of Sanco's
convenience store, and Corey Ramsey
struggled over the gun before it went
off.

Police say Kennedy was hit first.

He then shot and killed Ramsey.

Kennedy told News 7 he was hit in
the leg three times.

He was released from the hospital
last night.

Ramsey was pronounced dead at the
scene.

This all happened mid afternoon
yesterday.

Kennedy's friend's says even
though the store has been robbed in the
past, it was only recently that he
bought a gun for self defense.

missing for more than four months has
been found.

VO-NAT Susan Elmore-Burns was found in

San Francisco today.

Her parents were worried because
she left with her husband, Keith Burns
-- who was wanted by police here in
Virginia.

Burns, who's 40, is legally her
husband, but Susan's parents believe he
manipulated her into marriage.

Susan is 20-years-old.

Keith Burns is behind bars and
will be extradicted back to Virginia.

He was wanted for failing to
register as a violent sex offender, a
probation violation, and unauthorized
use of a vehicle.

officer-involved shooting in South
Boston.

State Police say it happened
shortly before 7:00 tonight in the

parking lot of the Sheetz on Route 58
in the Riverdale area.

They are not releasing the name
of the victim at this time.

The officer involved is on
administrative leave pending the
outcome of the investigation.

sustained a pretty big loss on the
injury front.

Spring Game in April Brandon Dillard, the walk on :00 receiver from Bassett, suffered a
ruptured achilles tendon on Tuesday
during a routine pass catching drill as
part of a voluntary workout.

Dillard, who had worked his way
up the depth chart to the number one
spot at the flanker position, will miss
the entire 2008 season.

He will undergo surgery next week
and then go through 4 to 6 months of
rehabilitation. Dillard had a
sensational spring, which he capped off
by scoring two touchdowns in the spring
game.

A ruptured achilles isn't
the type of injury you see everyday.
