Late last night - Marc Gonsalves,
Thomas Howes, and Keith Stansell -
exhausted
but very much alive - took their
first steps on U-S soil since
2003....just
hours after a daring rescue in the
Colombian jungle.
The three civilian defense contractors
had been held hostage by the FARC
anti-government rebels since their drug
surveillance plane was shot down....In
the years past seen only in so-called
"proof of life" videos.

U-S intelligence helped locate the
hostages. Then - using unmarked
helicopters seen in this cell phone
video - the Colombian military went in

over the Americans, plus a dozen other
captives, including well-known
Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt.
Not a
single shot was fired.

parking lot of the Sheetz on Route 58
in the Riverdale area.
They are not releasing the name
of the victim at this time.
The officer involved is on
administrative leave pending the

Kennedy, the owner of Sanco's
convenience store, and Corey Ramsey
struggled over the gun before it went
off.
Police say Kennedy was hit first.
He then shot and killed Ramsey.
Kennedy told News 7 he was hit in
the leg three times.
He was released from the hospital
Tuesday night.
Ramsey was pronounced dead at the
scene.
This all happened mid afternoon
Tuesday.
Kennedy's friend's says even
though the store has been robbed in the
past, it was only recently that he
bought a gun for self defense.

missing for more than four months has
been found.

San Francisco yesterday.
Her parents were worried because
she left with her husband, Keith Burns
-- who was wanted by police here in
Virginia.
Burns, who's 40, is legally her
husband, but Susan's parents believe he
manipulated her into marriage.
Susan is 20-years-old.
Keith Burns is behind bars and
will be extradicted back to Virginia.
He was wanted for failing to
register as a violent sex offender, a
probation violation, and unauthorized
use of a vehicle.

Three freed American hostages are
back in the U.S. after a daring rescue
in Colombia.
They arrived in Texas overnight, where
they're undergoing medical checkups and
reuniting with their families.

An officer- involved shooting in
South Boston has killed one person.
State Police say it happened last
night in the Sheetz parking lot on
Route 58 in the Riverdale area.
Authorities aren't yet releasing the
victim's name.

Police say Robert Kennedy, the
owner of Sanco's convenience store, and
Corey Ramsey struggled over the gun
before it went off.
Police say Kennedy was hit first.
