GRAPHIC=KROGER RECALL Just in time for your Fourth of
July cookouts, the Kroger grocery store
chain is expanding a voluntary recall
of ground beef.

VO-NAT The meat, which may be
contaminated with E-Coli, is being
pulled off the shelves in stores in
more than 20 states including Virginia.
Kroger is also urging customers
to check the ground beef in their
refrigerators and freezers to
determine whether it is covered by the
recall.
Kroger's recall stems from meat
obtained from one of its suppliers,
Nebraska Beef.
The sell-by dates on Kroger's
recalled beef are between May 17th and
June 8th.

The Virginia portion of the
recall involves 16-ounce packages of
Private Selection Natural ground beef
that were in self-service meat cases.
The sell by dates were July 11th
through July 21st.
As a precaution, the local

return that product for a refund.

sustained a pretty big loss on the
injury front.

ruptured achilles tendon on Tuesday
during a routine pass catching drill as
part of a voluntary workout.
Dillard, who had worked his way
up the depth chart to the number one
spot at the flanker position, will miss
the entire 2008 season.
He will undergo surgery next week
and then go through 4 to 6 months of
rehabilitation. Dillard had a
sensational spring, which he capped off
by scoring two touchdowns in the spring
game.
