CK-WXBUG CURRENT CONDITIONS ROUNDUP

<< Good evening, I'm meteorologist
Robin Reed in the SkyTracker7 Forecast
Center. A cold front (or shall we say,
cool front) will approach the region
tonight and stall out over our area
Thursday. Numerous storms will develop
ahead of the front this evening.
Instability is great enough that the
storm prediction center has put our
region in a slight risk for severe
weather. This evening's threats
include: -DAMAGING WINDS: winds gusts
with storm may be greater than 58mph,
causing downed trees and powerlines.
-HEAVY DOWNPOURS: Heavy rain may be
enough to drive streams out of their
banks. In some areas, 1 to 2.5" per

hour could cause flash flooding. Much
like last night, storms will begin to
diminish late this evening as
temperatures fall. Look for another
muggy night with lows in the 60s.
Thursday, the front passes just south
of the area before stalling and then
falling apart. While storm coverage
should be minimal, it looks like more
clouds than sunshine for sure. Highs
will remain in the upper 80s. For
weather anytime turn to our webpage at

mstevens@wdbj7.com The sometimes nasty spat between
the University of West Virginia and
former WVU head football coach Rich
Rodirguez has been resolved.

After months of posturing
Rodriguez agreed today to pay the
Mountaineers $4 million dollars to
honor the buyout clause in his contract
for bolting Morgantown for the
University of Michigan.

Rodriguez will pay $1 point 5
million in three annual payments
beginning January 2010, while
Michigan's athletic department will pay
$2 point 5 million by the end of July
and cover Rodriguez's legal fees.

The WVU Board of Governors held a
special meeting today and approved the
agreement, settling a case that was set
to go to trial this fall.
