Now, the airlines are turning to
passengers like Nancy Tillitson -- to
help 'them.'

This letter, signed by every airline's

industry lobby Congress. Airlines want
legislation that cracks down on
speculators -- a group they blame for
the soaring price of oil.

(SOT: John Prader / AIR LINE PILOT

TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF THE UNITED
STATES INTO THE GROUND."

Organizers say they expect to generate
about a million e-mails to lawmakers in
three days.

(STANDUP BRIDGE: Susan Roberts / CBS

have already cut back the number of
flights they're operating, and tacked
on extra fees. Some small carriers have
gone out of business. And, executives
warn -- there will be more turbulence
ahead."

(SOT: James May / AIR TRANSPORT

EFFECTIVELY LAID OFF 30-THOUSAND PEOPLE

BY THE END OF THIS YEAR AND THAT'S
UNFORTUNATELY THE FLOOR, NOT THE
CEILING."

The airlines expect to lose a combined
10-billion dollars this year -- solely
because of record-high oil prices...
And they want Congress and frequent
fliers to act now.

It appears that Favre is now
asking the Packers to release him or
trade, so he can come out of his short
lived retirement and play for another

team.

ESPN is reporting that Favre
through his agent has contacted Green
Bay about such a move.

The 38-year-old future hall of
famer retired March 6th after a 17-year
career. The Packers have since moved
forward and they plan to use Aaron
Rodgers as their starter this year and
rookie Brian Brohn as a backup.

and watch the move he puts on Clint
Bowyer to slip by him near the midway
point of the race.

But by the time this thing was
over it was another Joe Gibbs' driver
taking care of business.

Kyle Busch won his fifth
Nationwide series race of the season
dominating the final half of the race.

The win gives Joe Gibbs racing
its 13 wins out of the 20 races held
this year on the circuit.
