A spokesman with Appalachaian
Power says crews have been working to

copper, thieves will try to steal it.

That's the word in Danville,
where a pair of copper drains were
taken from the front of a church.
Members of First Presbyterian
noticed the problem during this week's
storms, when the missing parts caused
rain to flood the front yard.
Danville Police say stealing
copper is often a lot of work that
makes very little money for the
criminal.

The soaring cost of taking to the sky
has airline passengers looking for any
way they can -- to save cash.

Now, the airlines are turning to
passengers like Nancy Tillitson -- to
help 'them.'
This letter, signed by every airline's
president, was e-mailed to frequent
fliers. It asks them to help the
industry lobby Congress. Airlines want
legislation that cracks down on
speculators -- a group they blame for
the soaring price of oil.

Organizers say they expect to generate

For the second time this week two
planes came almost collided at JFK
airport in New York.
The planes came within 600 feet
of each other.
The FAA moved quickly to change
takeoff and landing procedures at JFK .
The agency says one plane was
landing on one runway when the pilot
decided to
abort his landing and execute a
go-around.
That caused the plane to
intersect with another plane taking off
on a different runway.

source of several salmonella-related
illnesses.
Investigators are analyzing the
facility's suppliers to find
links to the outbreak that has sickened
more than 1,000
people across the country.

Family members and neighbors using
fire extinguishers in vain trying to
rescue the 9 month old and 22-month old
kids from the Nashville house.
When fire crews got there, they were
able to get the children out, who were
then rushed to the hospital.
Two firefighters were also hurt.
No word on what caused it but the
grandmother said she heard a loud pop
in the air condition and then the house
went up in flames.

ten-thousand people were forced out of
their homes in Northern California
Investigators also found a body
of a person they believe refused to
leave when the wildfires got too close.
This is the third death related
to the California wild-fires in the
past few weeks.

asking the Packers to release him or
trade, so he can come out of his short
lived retirement and play for another
team.
ESPN is reporting that Favre
through his agent has contacted Green
Bay about such a move.
The 38-year-old future hall of
famer retired March 6th after a 17-year
career. The Packers have since moved
forward and they plan to use Aaron
Rodgers as their starter this year and
rookie Brian Brohn as a backup.

Cup Championships are only part of the
reason - the bigger than life Petty is
known as the King.
