already bought the new Iphone.
It's already sold out at the AT&T
store off of ValleyView.
The big buzz about the latest version
is the quicker access to the internet
using 3- g technology.
But a spokesperson from AT&T tells News
7 that service is not available in
southwest Virginia just yet. It's not
sure when it will arrive here.
The closest availability is in
Richmond.
3- G technology is accessable in 300
cities nationwide.
Anyone traveling to those areas can
get access to the technology.
Even though the 3-G system is not
available in our area yet, AT&T says
local customers will still have to pay
an additional 30 bucks a month for
internet access, using edge technology.

morning when his car ran off the road
and hit a tree.
Virginia State Police say
Frankie Leon Fagg was not wearing a
seatbelt.
The crash happened around 7:20
a.m. on Route 661, near the
intersection with Route 718 in the
western part of Alleghany County.
Fagg died at the scene. He was
51 years old.

bodies of two missing Army soldiers in
Iraq have been found.
Army Sergeant Alex Jimenez of
Lawrence, Massachusetts, and Private
Byron Fouty (FOW'-tee) of Waterford,
Michigan were ambushed in May of last
year while on patrol south of Baghdad.

apartment fire outside
Pittsburgh..several children are among
those who've been rescued.

They're inside the building battling
the blaze, and spraying the flames with

Roanoke SPCA has seen a 15 percent
increase in pet owners giving up their
pets.
ALOT OF PEOPLE THESE DAYS ARE HAVING TO
MAKE HARD DECISIONS, DO I GIVE UP MY
PET OR DO I FEED MY PET...
For the ones that do keep their pets--
many of them rely on food donations
from the SPCA.
This year the shelter received a
thousand dollars from The Humane
Society of the United States.
The grant money will be used to assist
the shelter in providing food to
animals whose owners rely on food
pantries.

OVER 45 HUNDRED POUNDS OF FOOD TO MAN
OF MINISTRIES."

Forecast Center. Watch out for some
patchy dense fog early this morning.
After the fog burns off we'll see
partly sunny skies as highs warm to the
upper 80s. Drier air should limit storm
develop Friday, expect for perhaps an
isolated storm or two across the
southside. Friday night look for partly
cloudy skies with lows in the low to
mid 60s. High pressure builds overhead
Saturday. This should mean a fairly
sunny sky with hot temperatures hitting
the lower 90s in most locations (upper
80s in the New River Valley and
Highlands). A cold front in the upper
midwest/western Great Lakes will make a
run at our viewing area Sunday. This
will increase storm chances again for
the last day of the weekend to around
