conservative commentator and former
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow
has died of cancer.

VO-NAT Snow was a broadcaster for Fox

News Channel and Fox News Radio when he
replaced Scott McClellan as President
Bush's press secretary in May 2006.

His tenure in the white house was
interrupted by his second bout with
Cancer.

He resigned as Bush's chief
spokesman six months later, in
September 2007, citing a need

to earn more money.

He then joined CNN as a
commentator.

Snow was well-known for
cheerfully sparring with reporters
during White House press conferences.

He was 53.

Fair.

The only thing missing is an
abundance of people.

Overall attendance so far is down 8
to 9-percent.

Weather has been a problem but the
downturn in the economy may be a bigger
issue.

where a pair of copper drains were
taken from the front of a church.

Members of First "Presbyterian"
noticed the problem during this week's
storms... when the missing parts caused

RAIN to flood the front yard.

Danville Police say stealing
copper is often a lot of work that
makes very little money for the
criminal.

are a thing of the past in most parts
of Virginia... or soon will be.

But cities and "counties" remain
determined to collect the tax.

Tax revenue in Roanoke has fallen
off in that category by more that six
percent.

At least some people have
apparently decided: if they're not
going to get a decal, they shouldn't
have to pay the tax.

they'd get away with that, they'll soon
find out they'll have to pay another
$20 and they won't be able to do

has died of cancer.

Bush's press secretary in May 2006.

His tenure in the white house was
interrupted by his second bout with
Cancer.

He resigned as Bush's chief

September 2007, citing a need

to earn more money.

He then joined CNN as a
commentator.

Snow was well-known for
cheerfully sparring with reporters
during White House press conferences.

He was 53.
