the man who was wounded in a shooting,
and they say they are trying to find a
suspect.

Sunday This morning, officers
identified the wounded man as
31-year-old Avery Eugene Muse.
Investigators say Muse was
sitting in a parked car on Salem
Turnpike when he was shot just before
5:00 Sunday afternoon.
Muse was taken to Carilion
Roanoke Memorial Hospital, though a
Carilion spokesman said he could not
confirm Muse was a patient.
Police have not made any
arrests, but did say they have
identified a suspect.

clean-up continues in Roanoke where a
gasoline tanker crashed and burned over
the weekend.

northbound side of US 220 between the
Colonial Avenue and Elm Avenue exits.
The accident happened around 10pm
Saturday night, and the fire burned for
hours.
This morning a contractor was
removing contaminated soil from the
site of the accident.

GRAPHIC=Body Found Investigators are trying to learn more
about skeletal remains found in Amherst
County this weekend.
The discovery was made Saturday
morning in a wooded area near Route 29
and Coleman Road.
Investigators say the remains appear
to be human. Shoes, clothing, and a
shotgun with shell casings were found
on or near the skeleton.
Authorities say there have been no
missing persons reports filed in the
area.
The remains have been sent to the
Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke.

Fort Bragg soldier has been charged
with first- degree arson.
John Wimunc (WY'-munk) is a 23-
year- old Marine stationed at Camp
Lejeune.
His wife is Holley Wimunc, an Army
nurse who was reported missing after a
fire at her apartment in Fayetteville
last Thursday.

Iraq.
Army specialist William McMillan
the Third was killed Tuesday when a
roadside bomb hit his patrol.
He entered VMI with the Class of
2008, but McMillan left school,
enlisted in the Army and was assigned
as a medic.
McMillan was from Lexington,
Kentucky.

Now they're taking traffickers to

Roanoke mall's decision to impose a
curfew.

The curfew started this weekend
last year when Valley View Mall shut
it's doors early to teen shoppers.
Specifically, on Friday and
Saturday night's, anyone under 18 has
to be with a parent or guardian after
six o' clock.
The mall's management says the

teens from congregating without
supervision.

today ending up mostly sunny. Lower
humidity levels move in across the
area. Monday night will be clear and
pleasant with lows near 60. Skies will
be mostly clear. High pressure means
mostly sunny skies Tuesday though
Friday with slowly moderating
temperatures. Enjoy Tuesday's low
humidity, because it will become more
muggy as the week progresses. Next
weekend calls for highs around 90 with
partly sunny skies. Right now, there's
only a slight chance of a few showers

is expanding in more ways than one.

AAU baseball championship for boys ages
15 and under is being decided at
Kiwanis Field and a host of others
