calm the latest wave of troubling
economic news.
This was the president's first news
conference since April.

finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie
Mac.
He also pressed Congress to open
the outer continental shelf for oil
exploration.
He says it will help relieve gas

barely recognize what's left of the
tanker.
V-DOT says this accident was the
first crash in at least five years
where someone has died.
But, there have been 14 accidents
since 2003 where serious damage was
involved or someone was hurt.
Still, the Department of
Transportation says 15 accidents is not
a lot when you consider 63 thousand
people travel this stretch every day.
As of now there are no plans to
do any road improvements.
The speed limit will stay at 55.

build east keeping the week dry and
progressively warmer. With the lower
dew points, look for abundant sunshine

of everything except actual baseball
competition.

O'Brien will have to wait a
little longer for that pro debut.
There are currently 15 other pitchers
on the Yankees rookie league team
roster in Tampa - the farm club that
plays in the Gulf Coast League.

The Gulf Coast season end in
September and then O'Brien will return
home for a few weeks, before heading
back to Florida for the Yankees
instructional league.

Mikey's older brother Eric, a
former baseball player himself at
Lynchburg College, served as his
brother's agent throughout the signing
process. And both agree the Yankees
made it tough to say no.
