just before eleven o'clock last
night at Lanford Brothers, which is in
an Industrial Park right off Route 11.

Firefighters say some barrels of
epoxy caught fire after being mixed
earlier in the night.

Investigators say the fire was small
in nature, and it posed no danger to
the surrounding area.

Crews put the fire out and moved the
barrels to another location so they
could cool down.

head on collision involving a fire
truck in Botetourt County.

Now, The family of one of the
vicitms is wondering why charges
haven't been filed yet.

May 26 It was Memorial Day when Judi
Clark Martin and Rusty Meadows died
after the crash on Route 220 near Eagle
Rock.

Investigators say Eagle Rock Fire
Department volunteer Lucas McCulloch
ma-culluck was responding to a call
when he crossed the center line and hit
the other vehicle head on.

So far... no charges have been
filed in the case and Judi Clark
Martin's family says the delay is
ridiculous.

Saturday Night Officials say the body was burned
badly-- so it will take a while to make
an identification.

Road crews worked through
the night to replace the guardrail the
driver crashed through.

They had to install 600 feet of
railing between the Elm and Franklin
exits on Route 220.

Center. High pressure will continue to
build east out of the Mississippi
Valley and park overhead this week,
allowing little more than some
fair-weather cloudiness. With an
easterly flow, moisture content will
slowly start to increase as the week
progresses, so it will feel a bit more
humid as the week goes on. Afternoon
highs should manage mid to upper 80s
each day. We stay partly to mostly
sunny until Friday, when models are
hinting at a retrograding low moving
into the Tennessee valley. This would
offer the chance for a shower or two
through the weekend. Not all models
agree. Some have the showers holding
off until Sunday. We'll monitor this
and keep you posted. Either way, the
low would be intercepted by a cold

front late in the weekend. The best
chances for showers appears to be

he went to Inova Fairfax Hospital last
night, so doctors could make
adjustments to his new pacemaker.

The pacemaker was implanted on
Saturday.

Even though the 81- year- old
Republican voted on the Senate floor
yesterday, his Web site says he plans
to be absent for the rest of the week.

The five-term Senator announced last
year he would not seek re- election in
2008.

John Warner's senate seat.

Republican Jim Gilmore lags far
behind Mark Warner when it comes to
raising money for the November race.

Yesterday was the deadline for
each senate candidate to report his
fundraising totals.

Mark Warner has raised nearly 10
million dollars since declaring his
candidacy, while Gilmore has raised
just over one million.

night to keep Gearhart Park open as
long as there's adult superivision.

That is until September
21st...then they'll take the issue up
again.

Council was considering
closing or moving it because of
vandalism and graffiti.

council to keep the park open.

Many agreed to help the town

use a taser to arrest a woman accused

in a stabbing.

charged with malicious wounding for
allegedly stabbing a man in the leg at
a home on Cardinal Place.

When Police arrived at the scene,
they say Wimbush was still waving a
knife.

They used a taser to subdue
Wimbush and take her into custody.

robbed twice in the past two weeks, now
police need help from the community to
find the suspects.

The first buglary happened at the
Sentry Food Mart on June 30th when two
people stole beer.

forced to euthanize cats and dogs
because of overcrowding.

shelter say people have been dropping
off their pets - especially in the last
few months - because they can't afford
to care for them anymore.

On top of that, stray cats and
dogs continue to be a problem and take

the death of a man hit by a train last
night.

Around 10 o' clock, police found
a man lying on the Norfolk Southern
tracks underneath the train in the 100
block of Shenandoah Avenue.

Roanoke Police have identified

the victim, but will not release his
name until his family has been

occupancy rates in Myrtle Beach are
down more than 14-percent so far this
summer.

A survey conducted by the
region's chamber of commerce found that
81-percent say the high price of gas
would affect their summer vacation
plans.

that's definitely true.

in Vinton...the Town Council voted to
keep a skate park open -- temporarily.

VO-NAT Town council says Gearhart Park

will stay open as long as there's adult
superivision.

That is until September
21st...then they'll take the issue up
again.

Council was considering
closing or moving it because of
vandalism and graffiti.

*CG locator Vinton Last Monday night, skateboarders showed Monday Night up in large numbers pleading with
council to keep the park open.

Many agreed to help the town
better police the park by turning in
vandals.

hinting at a retrograding low moving
into the Tennessee valley. This would
offer the chance for a shower or two
through the weekend. Not all models
agree. Some have the showers holding
off until Sunday. We'll monitor this
and keep you posted. Either way, the
low would be intercepted by a cold
front late in the weekend. The best
chances for showers appears to be
Sunday and Monday. WEDNESDAY: Mostly
