players - but the young and the young
at heart persevered.
The defending champ is in the
thick of things. Paidrig Harrington,
who is battling a bad wrist, uses all
of his skills to get out of the pothole
bunker and drop this one right in the
cup. He shot a two under 68 today.
But Greg Norman continues to be
the story.
The 53 year legend shot his
second straight even par round and he
is just one shot out of the lead. He
last won a major 15 years ago, but he
recently married a major sports star in
Chris Evert - and believe it or not he
credits her tennis skills with helping
his game.

Wall Street has finished a strong week
with a mixed performance after
disappointing high-tech earnings
punctured some of investors'
enthusiasm.
After rising more than 480 points
over Wednesday and Thursday,
the Dow Jones industrials closed at
11,496. That's up about 49 points.

The opening ceremonies of a
military review at Fort Riley, Kansas
got a surprise visitor today.
A civilian parachutist
accidentally crashed into a band that
was playing on the field.
Officials say the skydiver and
three band members suffered minor
injuries.
Two tubas were also destroyed,
but, as they say, the show must go
on...
The band regrouped and the
performance resumed.
