members with knives... is now in jail.

Thursday Mary Christine Bolling
(BOWLING).... was taken to the hospital
for a mental evaluation after a
two-hour standoff... at Mount Moriah
Baptist church in Roanoke on Thursday.

Church members found her inside
holding two knives.

A church deacon talked to Bolling
through a window... before calling
9-1-1.... but she threatened to kill
him if he came any closer.

She was released from the
hospital last night and immediately
arrested.

She's in the Roanoke Jail --
charged with two counts of assault on a
police officer, and one count of

burglary..

Gas has dropped a few
cents, as crude oil dips below 130
dollars a barrell...

At a Roanoke gas station on
Hershberger Road yesterday, drivers
paid 3-89 a gallon for regular.

An it could go even lower.

Part of the reason for the dip is
the President's recent annoucement on
offshore drilling.

A-E-P is seeking approval to
raise the "fuel factor"... and that
means a higher bill!

"reflects the dramatic increase in the
costs of coal...."

Demand for coal overseas and at
home continues to outpace
supply...according to AEP, the result
is a " steep escalation of prices."

The average residential
customer's bill...based on 1-thousand
kilowatts a month....will go from
71-dollars to nearly 80-dollars a
month.

This 12-percent increase has to
be approved by the State Corporation
Commission.

for a rate increase...Buckle your
seatbelts...your cab ride might get
pricier.

VO-NAT Yellow Cab is asking City Council

to approve a rate increase of about 16
percent.

The company blames the cost of
fuel, repairs and labor.

A three-mile cab ride that costs
eight dollars and forty cents now....
and would go up a dollar-forty.

If gas goes higher than five
dollars a gallon, the company would add
another buck to the cost of each trip.

City council will consider the
request on Monday.

back to a four-day week.

baby...the ambilicol cord still
attached... it raised suspicions.

baby. And 38 year old Andrea
Curry-Demus was arrested for child
endargement.

But it's what they discovered at her
apartment... that's has friends and
neighbors stunned..

Police found the body of a woman,
bound and gagged. They have not
confirmed if its the mother of the
newborn.

Two separate families are trying to
figure out if its the body of their
missing relative.
